English Name: Small 3-Free Direct Filtration System (S3F System)
The Mefit TUFBR™-S3F Direct Filtration Unit (also known as the “3-Free” direct filtration unit) is a groundbreaking, integrated water treatment system. It combines physicochemical conditioning, sludge–water separation, and deep-bed filtration into a single compact unit. At its core is a proprietary self-flowing suspended-media sludge–water separation filter element, paired with a dual-settling-zone design, which seamlessly integrates the stability of conventional sedimentation tanks with the high efficiency of filtration equipment. Thanks to its unique flow-path design and intelligent recirculating cleaning technology, this system can directly and efficiently treat a wide range of high-turbidity surface waters and complex industrial wastewaters, while replacing air flotation units, primary clarifiers, and secondary clarifiers in traditional systems.

Equipment Structure
As shown in the figure, the direct-filter tank is an open-type vessel with filter elements arranged symmetrically inside. The standard configuration is a 6×2 arrangement, with overall dimensions of approximately 1.5 m × 3 m × 3.5 m; the number and arrangement of filter elements can be adjusted according to actual site conditions. The bottom of the tank features a conical sludge-collection zone. Like the direct-filter unit, it is equipped with a dedicated cleaning system that includes a cleaning tank, a cleaning pump, and other components.
