On December 2, the finals of the Third China International “Internet Plus” Ecological Environment Science and Technology Venture Capital Competition—sponsored by Beijing Enterprises Water Group (hereinafter referred to as the “Venture Capital Competition”)—concluded successfully in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The competition was co-hosted by the National Industry–Education Integration Community for the Ecological and Environmental Protection Sector and Beijing Enterprises Water Group, with joint sponsorship from the School of Environment at Tsinghua University, the School of Environment at Nanjing University, the School of Environment at Harbin Institute of Technology, the College of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tongji University, the School of Environment and Ecology at Chongqing University, and the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology. It was organized by Nanjing University and the Beishui Education Center of Beijing Enterprises Water Group, with support from the Product Development Center of Beijing Enterprises Water Group and Beijing Touzhi Network Technology Co., Ltd. The event featured simultaneous online live streaming and cloud-based voting, attracting a total of 100,000 participants. Media outlets such as Xinhuanet, China News Service, China Environmental News, the Nanjing Radio and Television Convergence Media News Center, Yangtze Evening News, Modern Express, and Jiangsu Education Channel also provided coverage. More than 50 distinguished guests and judges attended the opening ceremony, including Shao Jin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress and a member of the Education, Science, Culture, Health, and Sports Committee; Li Weiguang, Chair of the Teaching Guidance Subcommittee for the Major of Water Supply and Drainage Science and Engineering in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education; Lu Yanqing, Vice President of Nanjing University; Ren Hongqiang, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Dean of the School of Environment at Nanjing University; Yu Liguo, Rotating Executive President of Beijing Enterprises Water Group, Director of the Competition Organizing Committee, and Chairman of the National Industry–Education Integration Community for the Ecological and Environmental Protection Sector; Yu Liangfa, Vice President of Beijing Enterprises Water Group; Hang Shijun, Director of the Expert Committee of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and Chief Consulting Engineer of Beijing Enterprises Water Group; Wang Hongchen, Director of the Expert Committee of the Venture Capital Competition and Director of the Low-Carbon Water Environment Technology Research Center at Renmin University of China; Ma Defu, Deputy Director of the Competition Organizing Committee and Deputy Director of the Expert Committee, as well as an expert on innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry–education integration; and Mao Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Competition Organizing Committee and Deputy Director of the Expert Committee, who also serves as Vice President of Beijing Enterprises Water Group.
