Carrying Forward the Legacy and Ushering in the Future: Wenzhou China Resources Power 1,000-ton-per-day Coal Slurry Water Recycling Project (2025)

Following the successful and stable three-year operation of the No-Blow, No-Backwash, No-Filter direct filtration system at the Guangzhou Nansha Thermal Power Plant, Mafit Water once again delivered a landmark project in 2025: the 1,000-ton-per-day coal slurry water zero-discharge reuse project at the Wenzhou China Resources Power Thermal Power Plant.

Project Archives

· Commissioning date: November 2025

·Processing capacity: 1,000 tons/day (50 tons/hour)

·Technical Solution: Three-No Direct-Filter Deep Treatment System for Coal Slurry Water

·Operating status: Continuous and stable operation

Technical Highlights

Building on the successful experience of the Nansha Power Plant, this project deeply integrates three core “no-…” technologies: no-power water production—leveraging the plant’s elevation difference to achieve gravity-fed filtration, reducing specific water consumption by 85%; no consumable replacement—employing ASSFBR patented filter elements to eliminate the need for periodic media replacement; and no feed-water discrimination—demonstrating strong adaptability to fluctuations in coal quality and requiring no manual intervention.

Core Achievements

After the system was commissioned, the effluent suspended solids (SS) consistently remained below 10 mg/L, resulting in annual savings of over RMB 1 million in chemical costs, electricity consumption, and maintenance expenses, with a payback period of only 18 months. The project achieves 100% reuse of coal slurry water and zero liquid discharge, making it another successful application of the “three-no” direct filtration technology in the power industry, following the Guangzhou Nansha project.
